praise through music

We, the members of Morning Star Baptist Church, believe in the power of praise through song. Our Music Ministry is the driving force behind our praise through song activities. With the leadership of the minister of music and choir directress, our choirs sing powerful and uplifting songs of Zion to honor and praise our Heavenly Father and our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Sing to God, sing in praise of his name,
extol him who rides on the clouds;
rejoice before him - his name is the LORD

A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows,
is God in his holy dwelling
Psalm 68:4-5

Sing aloud unto God our strength; make a joyful noise unto the God of Jacob.
Psalm 81:1

praise through service

Every Sunday or event that the doors of our church are open, there are special individuals that are responsible for making members and visitors feel at home. The role of the ushers are to provide assistance to members and visitors before and during service, in regards to seating arrangements, temperature control, various personal needs, and escorting individuals in and out of the sanctuary. The Ladies, Males, Junior Males, and Junior Ladies usher boards provide honorable service to our church on a regular basis.

.... I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of My God, than to dwell in the tents of the wicked. (Psalm 84:10)
